Dolores Anne's Story
Dolores Anne (Brindamour) Carroll, 81, of Beverly, passed away peacefully on May 20th at Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody.
Born in Lynn on October 24, 1935, she was the daughter of Leo and Stella (Shaw) Brindamour. Dolores married Edward Carroll from Beverly in August 1956. For over 40 years, Dolores and Ed operated Carroll’s Florist on Cabot Street at Gloucester Crossing in Beverly and were well-known throughout the North Shore for their beautiful flower arrangements. The love of Dolores’s life was her husband Ed, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage.
Throughout the years, Dolores and Ed enjoyed spending time traveling, taking cruises and bonding with friends old and new. Locally, their favorite place to frequent was the Anchor Restaurant in Beverly.
Dolores was a member of the Rebekahs where she served in many capacities for over 25 years. She first joined in 1991 as a member of Friendship Rebekah Lodge No. 6 in Beverly, later consolidating with Margaret Winthrop Rebekah Lodge No. 153, where she remained active until she became ill. She made a lot of friends and felt blessed to have had so many wonderful opportunities in the Order. Dolores lived her life by the principles of the Order: Friendship, Love and Truth.
Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Stella (Shaw) Brindamour, her husband, Edward J. Carroll, both of her children: her daughter, Michel Carroll and her son, Lee Carroll.
Dolores is survived by her brother-in-law, Leo Carroll and his wife, Carol of Beverly; sister-in-law, Barbara Carroll of Beverly; niece, Laura Henderson and her husband, Richard of Newburyport; nephew, Michael Carroll and his wife, Tina of Beverly, niece, Audrey Tripousis of Sanford, Maine; niece, Marcia Haskell and her husband, David of Marblehead, nephew Michael Pennell and his wife, Susan of Haverhill, niece, Jane Carroll of Danvers, nephew, John Carroll and his wife, Kathy of Ridgefield, Conn.
A visitation will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Friday, May 26th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will take place in the North Beverly Cemetery.
