Diamantino Teixeira Bernardo, 91, beloved husband of the late Acedelia Da Costa Fernandes Bernardo, died peacefully at his home on Monday, April 3, 2017, following an extended illness while in the comforting presence, and surrounded by, his loving family.

Born in Villa Real, Portugal, he was the son of the late Domingos and Olivia (Texeira) Bernardo. He grew up there and came to the United States, settling in Peabody, where he lived for the last 43 years.

He was happiest whenever family and friends would gather at home, and he especially enjoyed celebrating each of his family’s birthdays.
