Carmina (DiGregorio)'s Story
Mrs. Carmina (DiGregorio) Robinson, age 84, of Peabody, died on Thursday May 4, 2017, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was the wife of George H. Robinson Jr., with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Fondi, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Mauro and Clementina (Iudicone) DiGregorio. She came to the United States at the age of 28. For many years she had worked as a machine operator at Star Sportswear, Champion Lamp, and Norelco.
Carmina enjoyed gardening, swimming, cooking, and trips to Foxwoods. She was a former member of the Italian Community Center in Lynn.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Mark Robinson, of Peabody, Steve Robinson, of Northwood, N..H, and Paul Robinson, of Amesbury, several grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a sister Rosaria Muccitelli, of Italy, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Benedicta Mustarella, and Vencenza Zennelli.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to Susan G.
