Bruce A.'s Story
Bruce A. Burnham, age 82, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Class of 1957, where he played football from 1953 to 1956. He played in the 1957 Sugar Bowl. Bruce was a History and Social Studies teacher at West Jefferson High School and Hamilton Township High School, where he was the Head Football Coach. He was a retired real estate agent with Burnham Real Estate, an avid Buckeye fan and enjoyed gardening. He was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Tonkin and Marilyn Dean and is survived by wife of 47 years, Donna Spindler Burnham; children, Mary Lynn (B.F. Harrington) Hicks, Kathryn C. Burnham, Darren P. (Laura) Burnham, Bryan A. (Susan) Burnham, and Benjamin T. Burnham; grandchildren, Nathan C. Hicks and Carly E. Hicks; Kate M. Burnham, Kerry D. Burnham, and Bryn R. Burnham; Hila R. Burnham, and Henna L. Burnham; and many nieces and nephews.
