Annabelle M. (Whitehead)'s Story
Mrs. Annabelle M. (Whitehead) Pedro, 93, formerly of Lynn, died Thursday, March 1, 2017, in Peabody at the Brudnick Center for Living. Annabelle was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Anthony F. Pedro, Jr. She was born and raised in East Boston, the daughter of the late James E. and Rose (Pignato) Whitehead. She was a graduate of East Boston High School. She had lived in Lynn for the past 57 years. She retired as a medical records clerk from Union Hospital.
Annabelle loved her family and her home. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was well-known in the neighborhood for her baked goods. She loved dogs and had a dog in her home since childhood. Annabelle also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and ceramics. Additionally, Annabelle enjoyed cooking for and hosting large family gatherings where she took numerous photos for her family albums. Yet Annabelle’s true love was watching and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, James Edward Pedro, Jody Francis Pedro and his wife, Margaret, Jeanne Miriam Smith, Joy G. Pedro; her grandchildren, James A. Pedro, Tanya E. Falco, Michael J. Pedro, Ann M. Maderia, Jamey T. Pedro, Brian D. Carr-Smith, Scott W. Smith, Amy K. Smith, Jennifer A. Como, Courtney J. Fitzgerald; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Adeline Hebert. She was predeceased by her youngest sister, Ruth Russell.
In accordance to her wishes, private funeral services were held in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, Lynn, MA. Burial was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
