Albert A "Albie"'s Story
Albert A "Albie" Tanguay III passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, after a brief illness at North Shore Medical Center, Salem Hospital. Albie was born on October 24, 1954, in Peabody to the late Albert Jr. and Doris (Chapman) Tanguay.
Albie was employed at Brandeis University for over 30 years and also worked for many years part-time with his father-in-law, Peter "Petro" Spaneas at Ted's Service Station in Peabody.
Albie was a long time member of BPOE Elks Lodge 1409 of Peabody, where he also served as a bartender. Albie was known for his skill with a pool cue, pitching wedge and screwdriver.
Albie is survived by his brother, David and his wife, Mary Tanguay of Raynham; sister, Elaine Davis and her husband, Bill of Marlborough. Albie is also survived by his ex-wife, Kim Spaneas of Peabody; Kim's children, Michael Quade of Peabody and Justine (Quade) St. Pierre and her husband, Kevin of Danvers. Albie was affectionately known as "Papa" to Olivia, Mia and Lucas St. Pierre, also of Danvers. Albie also leaves many nieces, nephews, a special cousin, Cathy Hanley and many close friends at the Elks.
There will be a celebration of life held in the near future at the Elks in Peabody.
