Beverly - Foster Glover, 101, died on July 13, at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers. Foster was born in 1918 to Willard and Gladys Glover and at 101 years old was the oldest veteran in the city of Beverly. He loved woodworking and in addition to making numerous pieces of furniture he built the family home in North Beverly and the family summer cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee. He remained active in the family business, Glover Floor Covering in Gloucester, which he founded in 1948, right up until the time of his death. Surviving him is his son Richard of New York City; his son Mark and his wife Linda of Beverly; his daughter-in-law Sandy Glover, and her daughters and Foster's beloved granddaughters Krissie and Lisa of Beverly. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor; and his son Stephen, father of Krissie and Lisa, and husband of Sandy. The family wishes to thank all those at the Kaplan House for their kind and sensitive care in his final days. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Funeral services will be held privately. Arrangements are by the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
