Beverly - Susan (Campbell) Langmaid, 72, passed away Sunday, August 11th surrounded by her loving family at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody. She was the daughter of the late Robert W. Campbell and Catherine (Carr) Clark.
Susan grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, North Shore Community College and Salem State University; where she obtained her bachelor's degree in social work. She had many jobs and spent most of her career caring for adults and children with special needs on the North Shore and in Vermont.
Susan is survived by her siblings, Robert Jr. and his wife, Marianne Campbell of Graton, Calif,
David and his wife Cheryl Clark of Ipswich, Frank W. Clark III of California Wayne and his wife Jocelyn Clark of Beverly, Ginger (Campbell) Waksmonski of Beverly, Nancy (Clark) and her husband Don Jewel of Beverly. She was predeceased by her brothers Michael J. Campbell and John S. Campbell of Beverly. Susan was the loving Godmother of Daniel Slade Jr. of Ipswich, MA.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church, 45 Central Street in Ipswich. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend. Susan was a kind, gentle and loving person. We had many, many adventures and special times in our over 50 years of friendship. Her last few years were difficult but I know she is walking in the garden with the good Lord she loved. I will have your family in my heart and prayers as you say your farewells Monday.
