BEVERLY - Stephen C. Theobald, 72, formerly of Peabody, beloved husband of Norma A. (Landry) Theobald, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at the Ledgewood Rehabilitation Center in Beverly.
Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Charles and Eleanore (Lupo) Theobald. He was raised and educated in Revere and graduated from Huntington Prep school in Boston. Mr. Theobald continued his education and earned his associates degree in Engineering from Wentworth Institute in Boston and his bachelor's and master's degree from Northeastern University.
Mr. Theobald had been employed for many years as an engineer for the General Electric company in Lynn in it's aircraft engine department. He transferred to the Steam Turbine Division until the time of his retirement. He continued his work as an independent contractor for Northern Research Engineering for many years.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage, he is survived by two sons, Brian Theobald of Chelmsford and Glenn Theobald of San Diego, Calif., and a sister, Eleanore Smith of Peabody and many loving nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday, March 16, 2018, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
