BEVERLY - Sheila A. (Donovan) Risoldi, 75, beloved wife of Thomas A. Risoldi Jr., died Friday, February 2, 2018, at the Ledgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Beverly, following a long illness.
Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Beatrice (Conant) Donovan. She graduated from Beverly High School, class of 1962, and continued her education at the Essex Agricultural and Technical School, in Danvers, majoring in cosmetology.
Mrs. Risoldi, as a young woman, began her career as a hairdresser at the former Almy's Department Store, in Beverly, and also worked as a hairdresser at her home for many years to follow. She later worked at Corner Sweets, in North Beverly, the Parish House, in Ipswich, and Zayre Department Store. At the time of her retirement, Mrs. Risoldi worked as a customer service representative, and coach, in the call center at Appleseed's in Beverly.
A lifelong resident of Beverly, Mrs. Risoldi lived in a wonderful neighborhood, and often hosted gatherings at her home. She enjoyed spending day and evening in her backyard hosting friends, neighbors, family, or just her and her loving husband. She loved to cook, as well as collecting cook books.
Sheila enjoyed traveling to historic sights, and visiting the Caribbean. With a great love for beaches, she was often seen spending time at Lynch Park, in Beverly. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage, she is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Jaquith, and her husband, Peter, of Beverly; two grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah Jaquith; a sister, Kathleen Nohre, and her husband, Allen, of Arizona; sisters-in-law, Nancy Page, and her husband, James, of Georgetown, and Suzanne Taggart, and her husband, Joseph, of Tampa, Fla.; brothers-in-law, Frederick Risoldi, of Newburyport, and John Risoldi, of Beverly; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment in Central Cemetery, Beverly.
