Rose (McGrane) Leszczynski peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Brigham and Women's Hospital on Saturday evening March 18th. For more than 48 years she was the loving wife of Paul S. Leszczynski.
Born in Salem, she was one of three children of the late Leonard & Edith (Pynn) McGrane. Rose was raised in Salem, she attended the St. Mary's Grammar School and was a graduate of Salem High School and Marian Court College. While raising her family Rose worked for more than 30 years as a Dental Assistant and Office Manager for Dr. Walter J. Opolski in Danvers.
Rose enjoyed days on the beach and tropical vacations, not a day went by in which she wasn’t fully engaged and focused on her family and friends. Rose enjoyed the arts and frequented live performances of the Boston Pops and Jimmy Buffet. Rose was also an advocate for the Elliot P. Joslin Camp for Boys with Diabetes, the Joslin Diabetes Center and was a big fan of the activities of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her children Paul J. Leszczynski and his wife, Elizabeth of Salem, Todd L. Leszczynski and his wife Robyn of Rowley. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Alyssa, Hunter, Sydney, Paige and Grace Leszczynski; one great-granddaughter, Maya Leszczynski; her sister, Barbara "Chauchi" Faircloth and partner, Laurence Tessier, Barbara's children, Lisa Middleton and William K.
