Danvers - Mr. Ronald L. Trecartin, 81, of Danvers, beloved husband of Lillian (Guilmain) Trecartin, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 5, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Lynn he was the son of the late Alonzo and Hazel (Fraizer) Trecartin. He was raised and educated in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School, class of 1956.

Ron had been employed as a welder at Atwood & Morrill in Salem. He traveled the country repairing valves at nuclear power plants. His strong work ethic and expertise in his field is well documented over his 40 years of dedicated service to the company. Ron had 16 years of a wonderful retirement spent with Lil relaxing at their camp at Grand View Campground, taking day trips and enjoying fried clams as often as possible. He was also a 50-plus year member of the Mosaic Lodge AF & AM in Danvers and a talented artist of cotter pin figurines that were sold at an art boutique in Rockport.

The consummate family man, Ron was truly at his best when surrounded by his family. He was steadfast in providing for his family and ensuring his children's childhoods were filled with lasting memories they would carry on. There were countless adventures, camping trips, mountain climbing, and skiing all with just the perfect spin that Ron could provide. He was always prepared and loved the great outdoors whether it was rowing his boat, fishing, biking or just enjoying nature. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who never met a stranger only a friend. He was strong, dependable and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his gentle nature and easy smile.

Surviving Ronald in addition to his wife Lillian with whom he shared 60 years of marriage are his daughters; Cindy Frontiero and her husband Joe of Gloucester and Bonnie Trecartin-Smith and her husband Gary of Newtown Square, Pa.; his son Ronald Trecartin Jr. and his wife Mary of Danvers; his grandchildren, Joseph Frontiero and his wife Jenn, Carissa Frontiero, Katelyn and Kelcey Trecartin and Benjamin, Grace and Abigail Smith; his great-grandchildren, Adrian, Lily and Norah Frontiero; his brother, Kenny Trecartin and his wife Tish of Medford; his sister, Cathy Eddy and her husband Wayne of Seabrook, N.H.; several nieces and nephews; and his treasured Basset Hound Hazel.
