Peabody - Ronald Acquaviva, 75, of Peabody, passed away Friday evening at the NSMC-Salem Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline Acquaviva.
Born in Everett, Mass., on September 22, 1943, son of the late Joseph and Gilda (Magno) Acquaviva. He was raised and educated in Everett.
He was the proprietor of National Motor Cars in Rowley, which was more than just a job because of the passion he had for cars, especially antique cars. He was also a concert promoter for many big jazz bands, especially for the Holiday Inn in Peabody. Most importantly he loved being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Mark Acquaviva of Peabody; three daughters, Denise Gravlin of Danvers, Leah Lariviere of Danvers and Lauren Turco of Peabody; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Arthur Acquaviva.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 19, at 11:30 a.m. at the Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St., in Lynnfield, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. For online guestbook, please visit

Just received the news from David. So sorry for all of you . Ron was great fun and now I have nobody to do "Chef of the Future" with.

I'll always remember the laughter.
