Robert Waldie

June 06, 1959 - January 28, 2019

Robert Waldie Huntsville, Alabama - Bob passed away in Huntsville Alabama on January 28, 2019 after a long illness. Son of the late Jeannine Pelletier Waldie and the late John Waldie, Jr., he was raised in Salem, Mass. and attended Salem High School and NSCC. He leaves his beloved children, Emma and Meg Waldie, and his former wife Lisa White, all of Madison, Alabama. He leaves his sister Jane Waldie and her husband Robert Carey of Hamilton, Mass. and Glen, N.H.; his sister Joyce Modugno and her husband Clint of Wenham Mass.; and his sister Linda Waldie and her fiancée Jim Armstrong, of North Beverly, Mass. He leaves his niece Andrea Garcia and nephew Jeffrey Garcia and their families. He also leaves several aunts and uncles, many cousins, stepmother Phyllis Waldie, a few special friends, and his dear rescue dog Hank.
Bob worked as an electro-mechanical technologist at several local companies over the years, the longest being EG&G. Bob was an avid reader and his passion was music. From classical to Punk Rock, he was knowledgeable and could appreciate it all – except for show tunes and disco. His sisters have many fond memories of going to hear bands with Bob, listening to his vast vinyl collection, and the dance parties that inevitably happened at our house – good thing Mom liked to dance too!
There will be no services at this time. In Bob’s memory help a rescue animal, or think of him when listening to a good song.
