Venice, FL - Robert Edward Koloski, 69, of Venice, Fla., died at home on June 5, 2019, after a brief struggle with lung cancer.
He was the son of Shirley (Abbott) Giulianelli and William Koloski, Sr. Bob was born in Beverly, Mass., and grew up in Hamilton, Mass., where he graduated from Hamilton/Wenham High School. He was a retired pipe fitter from Boston Local 537. He shared 25 years with the love of his life Bea Clancy.
Bob was a man of few words, who was very content to watch the Red Sox and the Patriots from his recliner in his own living room. He loved to cook and bake. He enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening and reading. He especially enjoyed the many month-long vacations that he and Bea shared in Costa Rica while escaping the cold winters of New England. He was a kind man who was generous to a fault.
In addition to his life partner Bea, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Rhonda and Jim Canavan of Peabody, Mass.; his cousins John and June Koloski of Beverly, Mass., Peter Koloski of Wenham, Mass., and Paul and Norma Koloski of Ipswich, Mass.
He will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as, his in-laws, Janet (Clancy) Treece of Venice, Fla., Jim and Wendy Clancy of Sarasota, Fla., David and Kathleen Clancy of Cherryville, N.C., Ed and Tara Clancy of Scituate, Mass., Rosanne Clancy of Weymouth, Mass., Charlie Clancy and Barbara Larkin of Weymouth, Mass., Joe and Jenny Clancy of Osprey, Fla., and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents; his son Derek R Koloski; his two brothers William P. Koloski Jr. and Joseph M. Koloski; and his two sisters Paula A. Koloski and Janet E (Koloski) Bowen.
Per Bob's wishes, there will be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Venice, Fla. (www.tidewell.org).

Bea, I am so sorry that you you are going through this loss. I know he was the love of your life and you his. Loved being at your home and listening to you and Bobby banter. I saw that twinkle in his eyes when you two were playing. Bobby was always so good to me. You two treated me like "princess". I miss him greatly. Thanks for your love and tomatoes, Bobby. Princess G

Bea you are in my thoughts and in my heart. I only met Bob once but think of your story about the "green bathing suit" you shared with me. I'm so glad you both realized your dream of Florida and wish you'd had more time where the weather is warm. My heart breaks for you and how much you miss him.

Getting up every morning the house would be freezing and he would be the first one up early as always putting wood in the wood stove and making oatmeal with honey and before leaving for work he would say, “ Deb I left you some breakfast on the stove have a good day at school.” I would eat and grab a tomato off the window sill from the garden and eat that too. Bea he was a great step father and He loved being a grandfather to Travis and Levi... he will be missed but always remember ❤️ And truly made this world a better place.

I’m so sorry for your loss Bea. Bob was my stepfather for most of my childhood. Trying to keep 3 teenagers on the straight path was no easy task. He was a hard working, fun loving man. His passion for his vegetable garden will always be in my memories. Rest In Peace Bob. Sending condolences to his family and friends

Big Bob was my best friend in High School and my best man in my wedding. Although we lost contact for a long time I often thought of him and wondered how he was doing. He will be missed by me and many other who knew him. From now on all your beers are on the house rest in peace we will miss you greatly.
