Rita J.'s Story
Rita Darisse, 85, of Salem, passed away Tuesday evening, July 18, 2017 in Peabody. She was the daughter of the late Irenee and Jeanette Darisse.
Rita was born in St. Andre, Quebec, Canada, and has lived in Salem for most of her life. She worked for many years at the former Sylvania Lighting of Salem and was a proud member of their Quarter Century Club.
Rita is survived by her brothers and sisters, Carmen Darisse of St. Andre, Quebec, Canada, Rejeanne Darisse of St. Arsene, Quebec, Canada, Yvon Darisse of Beverly, and Donald Darisse of St. Andre, Quebec, Canada; nineteen nieces and nephews; many grandnieces and nephews; and many God children. Rita was the sister of the late Roger, Regent, Henry, Lionel, Robert, and Claude Darisse.
Visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St., Salem, on Tuesday, July 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Her funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
