Rena C.'s Story
Rena C. (Constantini) Swaine, 89, passed away on March 31, 2017. She was the wife of the late Stephen H. Swaine.
Born in Lynn on April 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Antoinetta (Amoroso) Constantini. She was raised and educated in Swampscott and graduated from Swampscott High School. During her high school career, she participated in field hockey and basketball. Rena and her family moved to Danvers in 1974, where they continued to live. She had coached field hockey at Memorial Middle School in Beverly and went on to coach at Beverly High School, eventually as head coach.
Rena’s passion was expressed through her volunteer ministry. She was a devout Jehovah's Witness who loved to talk about her faith. Her faith guided her life and sharing it with others was a source of great joy.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Nikki Swaine of Beverly and Gregory and Lisa Swaine of Danvers; a grandson, Ethan Andrew Swaine; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sister, Luigi, Anthony, Ballila (Pop), Dario and Beth Costantini Love.
A memorial service for Rena will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 79 Endicott St., Peabody, MA 01960. All are welcomed to attend.
