Pauline (Young)'s Story
Pauline (Young) Bresnahan, age 93, wife of the late Thomas F. Bresnahan, Jr., died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, peacefully at home. A lifelong Beverly resident, she was the daughter of the late Leroy H. and Celesta P. (Babour) Young. She was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1941.
Mrs. Bresnahan worked for the Beverly School Department for many years. She was an administrative assistant at Briscoe School and the Superintendent's office in payroll. She was a founder, along with her husband, of the Beverly Little League.
She volunteered for the North Shore Education Consortium.
She is survived by a son, Thomas F. Bresnahan III of Beverly; two daughters, Paula Welch and husband, Michael of Beverly and Pamela B. Gobeille and her husband, Steven of Greenville S.C.; three grandchildren, Victoria Welch, Thomas Welch and Chloe Gobeille Sloan and her husband, Brandon; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Sloan. She was predeceased by twin boys at birth; a grandson, Casey Gobeille; a brother, Leroy H. Young, Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Caroline Young.
Her funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Burial in the North Beverly Cemetery.
