Pauline R.'s Story
Ipswich - Pauline R. Canzano, 76, wife of Donald R. Canzano of Crestwood Road, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in the Beverly Hospital following her long illness. Pauline was born in Cambridge, April 2, 1942, the daughter of the late Bernard E. and Pauline R. (Ralph) Concannon. As a young girl she was raised in Cambridge and summered in Ipswich. In 1956 the Concannons moved to Ipswich and she attended Ipswich High School, graduating with the class of 1960. Married in 1961, the Canzanos made their home and raised their family in Ipswich. She was employed as a sales clerk, part-time during high school at Filene's in Peabody, and after high school, full-time at Zayre in North Beverly. Throughout these years she and her family enjoyed many outdoor activities, including skiing, biking, boating and hiking the beach. She also had a great love for animals, especially her dogs. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Hope Church in Ipswich.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Donald R. Canzano and his wife Margarete of Gloucester; a daughter, Nancy B. Atwater and her husband Jared of Bradford; a daughter-in-law, Mary E. Canzano of Ipswich; and four grandchildren, Lorenzo Canzano of Gloucester, Nicholas and Cassidy Canzano, both of Ipswich, and Gabriel Atwater of Bradford. She was the mother of the late Peter D. Canzano, formerly of Ipswich; and sister of the late Edward Concannon, formerly of Worcester.
