BEVERLY - Pauline C. (Hoague) Palmer, 86, of Beverly, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday afternoon, January 29, 2018 at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alida W. (Theisen) Hoague. Pauline grew up on the North Shore between Marblehead and Swampscott, and attended Swampscott High School.
Pauline worked for many years at Zimman's Fabric Store on Market St., in Lynn, and spent much of her life as an equestrian. In addition to her love of horses, Pauline also loved spending time with her dogs, of which she raised many during her lifetime.
Surviving her are four daughters, Pauline Sullivan and her husband, John of Beverly, Patricia Fuller and her husband, Carl of Salem, Gail Waitt and her husband Carlton of Georgetown, and Lynne Ford of Lynn; and two sons, Peter Smith and his wife, Dianne of Greensboro, Ga. and Harry Palmer of Beverly. Also surviving Pauline are her grandchildren, Kristina, Jared, Meghan, Eddie, Derek, Amanda, Nick, Joey, Jacqueline, Justin, Taylor, Trevor, and Griffon, and her dog, Bailey.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pauline's name may be made to Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Avenue, Salem, MA 01970.
