Patricia A. (Naguszewski)'s Story

Text size

Patricia A. (Naguszewski) Ayers, 74, of Ipswich, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 6, 2017, with her children by her side.
Pat was born in Ipswich on October 7, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Leo and Alice (Budzianowski) Naguszewski.
A graduate of Ipswich High School and Bentley College, she lived and worked for several years in Boston before marrying and settling back in Ipswich to raise her children.
Pat worked for several organizations over the years, including the Sisters of Notre Dame in Ipswich, and retired from the Town of Ipswich utilities department after almost 20 years of service.
Pat was an avid traveler who loved an impromptu trip up to the White Mountains as much as flying over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter. She loved Nubble Lighthouse, bonsai trees, holiday decorations as well as Broadway musicals, and could often be heard loudly singing along to Les Miz all the way out in her driveway. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Parish and treasured her Polish heritage. Above all else, she loved her family and friends.
Pat is remembered by her brokenhearted children, Rick and Michele Ayers, who already miss her more than words can say; her brother, Ed Nagus and his wife, Joy; nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, several dear friends, many of her children’s friends who often saw her as a second mom, a special neighbor who meant so much to her, and her beloved, Harley.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 15, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 54 Linebrook Road, Ipswich, to which relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will follow in the New Highland Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Road, Ipswich. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Morris Funeral Home of Ipswich.
