Oveada C.'s Story
Oveada C. (Wilson) Lewis, 68, wife of the late Richard E. Lewis, died Sunday, October 1, 2017, at the Beverly Hospital.
Born in Grand Prairie, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Evelyn (Hall) Wilson. She was raised in Beverly and received her education in the Beverly school system.
Mrs. Lewis was employed for many years as a unit assistant at many area nursing homes on the North Shore until the time of her retirement.
A longtime resident of Beverly, she was a member of the American Legion Spear Post in Beverly. She was a loving mother grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her are two daughters, Lisa M. Caperos and her husband, Fabian of Bradenton, Fla., and Melinda A. Campbell of Newburyport; a son, Timothy C. Lewis of Edgerton, Ohio; a step-son, Richard Lewis Jr.; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Cabral of Beverly; a brother, Charlie Wilson of Exeter, N.H.; and nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held graveside at the North Beverly Cemetery, 685 Cabot Street, Beverly, Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
