Norma L. (Mackey) Knight

August 22, 1931 - November 28, 2017

Norma L. (Mackey) Knight, age 86 years, a lifelong resident of Beverly passed away Tuesday morning, November 28, 2017 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was the beloved wife of the late Augustus “Gus” Earl Knight.
Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late John and Doris (Low') Mackey and was a graduate of Beverly High School.
Norma had been employed as a Real Estate Broker for thirty years. She also owned Knight Real Estate in Beverly.
Mrs. Knight was an active member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Beverly. She enjoyed serving at many of the church suppers. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Women’s Radio Operators of New England (WRONE). Norma will be greatly missed by all who knew her and was loved dearly by her family.
Surviving her are six children, Gordon Gilbert Jr. of Ipswich, Susan Page and her husband, Raymond Jr. of Beverly, Cynthia Gryzbinski and her husband, Charles of Key West, FL, Warren Knight and his wife, Cindy of Beverly, Charlotte Knight of Beverly and Phillip Knight and his wife, Janna of Danvers; 15 grandchildren, Anthony, Ashley, William, Jackson, Anissa, Hayden, Steven, Amy, David, Elizabeth, Jason, Brett, Sabrina, Erin and Brian and five great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Janet McSwiney and sister of the late David Mackey.
Her Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4 Ocean Street, Beverly on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friend are invited to attend. Burial in North Beverly Cemetery, Beverly. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in Norma’s memory may be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Beverly.
