SALEM Mrs. Nancy L. (Beaman) King 74 of Salem, beloved wife of Donald W. King, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Leppanen) Beaman. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Essex Agricultural and Technical School.
Mrs. King was a professional hairdresser for many years. She had been employed at the former Proctor Silent in Salem and more recently she was associated with Blueberry Hill Healthcare Center in Beverly as a Nurses Aide and Director of Laundry Services until the time of her retirement.
Nancy had an infectious personality, she was hardworking, loving, kind and generous with everyone she met, even strangers who would instantly form an admiration for her the moment they met. A loving wife and mother, Nancy had a deep love of animals, especially her beloved parrot Binky and her canine companion Dobbie. She would often travel to Twin River and enjoyed games of chance, yet above all else she loved to spend time with her family who she loved dearly. She will be deeply missed.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Donald W. King of Salem, her son Scott King and his companion Danielle Chakoutis of Salem and her sister, Linda and several nieces and nephew and extended family.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service is private. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The ODonnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem. To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.odonnellfuneralservice.com.
