Mary Lou's Story
Mary Lou (Chalifour) Woodcock passed away peacefully in the company of beloved family on April 8, 2017, at Mass General Hospital.
Born in Saugus on September 11, 1969, Mary was a lifelong resident of Salem. Mary attended Bishop Fenwick High School and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She married Timothy D. Woodcock in 1992.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Megan and Rebecca Woodcock; her mother, Claire Chalifore; her sisters, Lillian, Tracy, Susan, Doreen and Leslie; and her nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Arthur H. Chalifour.
Skydiver, chicken keeper, scrapbooker, giant pumpkin grower, pottery maker, Mary lived vibrantly and will be dearly missed. When not working or enjoying various hobbies, Mary enjoyed attending auctions and relaxing with her fiancé, James Horton.
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 9 a.m. from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, North Street, Salem, at the Peabody line. Visiting hours are Monday at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
