Mark D.'s Story
Mr. Mark D. Leslie, 59, of Danvers, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in New London, Conn., he was the son of the late John F. and Mary (Wilson) Leslie. Raised and educated in Connecticut, he was a graduate of Waterford High School, the University of Rhode Island (Bachelor’s Degree), and Southeastern Massachusetts University (Master’s Degree).
Mr. Leslie had been employed as the Vice President of Business Development for High Liner Foods/Fishery Products for over 26 years.
Devoted to his family, faith, and community, Mark was a member of St. Richard Church. He was a board member of the River House of Beverly and Catholic Charities - North of Boston.
Mark was an avid golfer and outdoorsman, and enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee. He was also a huge URI basketball fan. Marks four daughters meant the world to him. He took great pride in doing his best to attend as many dance recitals, teacher/parent meetings and sporting events that he could.
A devoted and loving husband, father, and brother, Mark will be deeply missed by his family.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Maria Elena Leslie of Danvers, his four daughters, Roxanne, Rebecca, Raquel, and Rhianna, all of Danvers; his brother, John Leslie, and his wife Melanie of Los Angeles; his sister, Ann Brancato, and her husband, David of Manchester, Conn., and several nieces and nephews, including his special nephew, Fabian Torres.
His funeral will be held from the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers on Saturday, November 25th at 8:15 a.m. followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Richard Parish, Forest St., Danvers at 9 A.M. Relatives and friends welcome. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery on Hobart St. in Danvers.
