BEVERLY - Marion Teresa Badger died peacefully on December 16, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Marion was a resident of Beverly for the past 25 years and a devout parishioner at St. Mary's Star of the Sea. Born on January 9, 1929, in Peabody, to the Irish-Catholic Roche family, Marion was daughter to Margaret and Francis and sister to Frank and Thomas.
Supporting her husband, Richard, and his career with General Electric for 43 years, the family lived in Massachusetts, New York, Indiana, Ohio, and Europe before retiring to Massachusetts. Her love for her family was the source of her joy, as she thoughtfully and attentively advised, consoled, guided and championed each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in every aspect of their lives. In times of happiness as well as difficulty, Marion found strength in her faith. Marion's grace in love is her legacy.
Marion is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard; by her sister-in-law, Natalie; by her children, Suzanne, Stephen, Joanne, and Holly; by her grandchildren, Tristan, Christine, Meredith, Alicia, Thomas, Gabriela, Kayla, Myles, Dominic, Patrick, Margaret, William, Olivia, and Matthew; and by her great-grandchildren, Ella, Nyla, and Emersyn. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Mark (1953-1997).
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday, December 21, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in the in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
