WENHAM - Madeline M. Andrews, 90, January 23, 2018, of Wenham, beloved wife of the late George E. Andrews.
Daughter of Paul Monahan from Waltham and Molly Hargadon Monahan, she was born in Sligo Ireland. She was a graduate of State Teachers College Framingham, 1948 with honors earning her Master's degree in Education.
She began her teaching career in Greenwich, Conn. and went on to teach at the Bright and Douglas MacArthur Schools, Waltham until her retirement. Throughout her teaching career Madeline received many awards for outstanding achievement and dedication.
An avid gardener, Madeline enjoyed creating floral arrangements for special events as member of the Hamilton Wenham Garden Club.
Mother of Jane and her husband, Dr. Christopher Cullinan, DMD of Boxford, Nancy and her husband, Roy Reposa of Naples, Fla, Edward M. Andrews and his fiancee, Yvette Kamayou of Fitchburg, Paul B. Andrews and his wife, Stephanie of Norfolk Mass.
She is survived by her brother, Richard J. Monahan Esq. of Waltham and her sister, Claire Lilly of Hermitage Tenn. along with her treasured seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins .
She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Frank Monahan and her sister, Betty Marden.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 12 Park Street, Topsfield, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Interment in the Iron Rail Cemetery, Wenham.
