Madelene L.'s Story
Madelene L. “Maddie” (Kelley) Ostrowski, 70, of Beverly, died Sunday in the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Michael P. Ostrowski. Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Gertrude L. (Wanstall) Kelley. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1964. She had lived in Beverly for the past 43 years.
Maddie had worked as a waitress at Godfried’s in Saugus and Cabot Place in Beverly. An animal lover, she was an active member of the Wildlife Research Institute. Her passions include cruising “The Do Wop Cruise to Bermuda” with her husband and was a master photographer and videographer creating lasting memories for all that she knew. She will be remembered as a doting wife and a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children; Michael D. Ostrowski and his wife, Kim of Beverly, Kerrie A. Bromberger (Ostrowski) and her husband, Steven of Peabody, and Robert E. Ostrowski of Beverly; four grandchildren, Kayla and Michael Ostrowski and Lily and Steven Bromberger; her sister, Pat Lemonosky and her husband, Jim of Beverly; as well as many loving nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, B.J. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Dianne M. Carroll; and her brothers, David H. and Robert E. (Rockin Bob) Kelley.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
