Louise's Story

BEVERLY - Louise (Evitts) Killeen 95, beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Killeen Sr., died Monday, December 18, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ellen (Callahan) Evitts.
Mrs. Killeen had been employed for many years as a switchboard operator at Shawmut Bank in Boston until the time of her retirement. Prior to that she had worked for New England Telephone in Salem.
A longtime resident of Beverly, she was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by a son, Brian P. Killeen of Beverly, four daughters, Mary Ellen Willard and her husband, William of Beverly, Katherine Salvato and her husband, Salvatore of Peabody, Patricia McGovern and her husband, Thomas of Beverly and Laurie Cox and her husband, Daniel of Peabody, 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Lesch of Danvers, a sister-in-law, Rosemary Evitts of Saugus and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Thomas J. Killeen Jr. and sister of the late Mary Shea, Frank "Buddy" Evitts, Ethel "Inie" Koen and Leonard J. Evitts.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Peabody, Friday, December 22, 2017 at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
