PEABODY, MA - Mrs. Lois (Deppe) Jepson, 88, of Peabody, beloved wife of Kenneth Jepson, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long illness on January 22, 2018.
Lois was born in Lynn, Mass., and was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Ruth Deppe, and the sister of the late Fred C. Deppe. She was raised in Lynn, and graduated from Lynn English High School.
In her youth, Lois was a tap dancer, with the stage name, Linda Drake. She traveled with her parents to many cities in the U.S. and Canada to perform. As a young woman, Lois worked at General Electric, in Lynn, and later worked for the City of Peabody.
Lois is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Jepson; her son David Jepson, and his wife, Linda; daughter, Lori McHugh, daughter, Sandy Mullen; and son, Scott Jepson; her grandchildren, Mathew Jepson, Kerri Jepson, Ken McHugh, and his wife, Kammie, Stephen McHugh, Joanna McHugh, and her fiancé, Bryan Roberts, Rebecca McHugh, Joshua Mullen, Jared Mullen, Samantha Jepson, and Dan Jepson.
Lois' family was everything to her. Having them around her was her greatest joy. From dancing a time-step with her granddaughters, to playing flip-cup with her children, and grandchildren at Christmas, she brought the perfect amount of fun and insanity to many family gatherings. She was greatly loved by her family, and friends, and will be tremendously missed.
A funeral Mass for Lois is Friday, February 2, 2018, at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, 140 Lynn St, Peabody, MA 01960. Burial will be private.
