SALEM - Mr. Leonidas Vittini, 87, of Salem, beloved husband of Gladys (Gonzalez) Vittini, died Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Salem Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in the Dominican Republic he was the son of the late Juan and Celia (Guerrero) Vittini. He immigrated to the United States in 1970 and has resided here ever since.
Mr. Vittini had been employed for many years at Phoenix Color as a printer making book covers where he was known for his dedication, attention to detail and strong work ethic.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Leonidas was most happy when surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed many activities and celebrations and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving Leonidas, in addition to his wife, Gladys Vittini of Salem, are his daughters, Belkys Miches of the Dominican Republic, Dilcia Vittini and Josefina Vittini, both of New York City; his sons, Ariel Vittini of Salem and Rafael Vittini of Maryland; and several grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orne Street, Salem, on Thursday, December 28, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq.
