Kevin O’Donnell, age 55, of Beverly, former longtime Lynn resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Kevin was born on May 28, 1962, in Lynn, the son of the late Francis “Frank” O’Donnell and Helen (Koutsos) O’Donnell. He was raised in Lynn. Kevin worked for many years at Shore Educational Collaborative in Peabody. Kevin was a kind hearted gentle soul. He liked going to McDonald’s for a hamburger and a Coke. He loved the color blue and shaking people’s hands. As a young man, Kevin would love to go candlepin bowling with his family. For many years, Kevin had been living in a group home in Beverly. He loved all the close friends that he had there, especially Dan Woods, Patricia Fitzgerald, Brish Alamirew and Jose Bueno. He cherished his friends there and learned so much from them.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Helen O’Donnell of Lynn; his brother, Brian F. O’Donnell and wife, Leanne of Nashua; and his uncle, Nicholas Johnson of Lynn. Several cousins also survive him along with his godmother, Catherine Meade of Pembroke Pines, Fla.
There are no calling hours. A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius V Church. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Mary Cemetery in Lynn.
