Kenneth L.'s Story
Kenneth L. “Woody” Wooldridge, 78 years, of Beverly, passed away Tuesday morning, January 24, 2017 at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan (Castellano) Wooldridge and the late Janet (McCoy) Wooldridge.
Born in Cambridge, dear son of the late Roy and Ina (MacKinnon) Wooldridge.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Kenneth loved collecting steins and drinking Dunkin Donuts Coffee. He also loved to tell stories and enjoyed playing LCR with the gang from Turtle Creek.
Mr. Wooldridge’s remains will be donated to Tufts Medical School in Boston.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra P. Wooldridge of Peabody; one sister, Lorraine E. MacLeod of Tewksbury, three brothers, Ralph W. Wooldridge of Reading, Clifford B. Wooldridge of D.C. and Donald W. Wooldridge of Tewksbury, one granddaughter, Jill Swartwout, two grandsons Joshua and David Wessell; two step-daughters, four step-sons and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Robert F. and John E. “Jack” Wooldridge.
Kenneth’s Memorial Service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Kenneth’s memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 or to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill Street, Reading, MA 01867.
