Josephine "Tina"'s Story
Josephine "Tina" Sobutka, age 73, of Peabody, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 27, 2017.
Born on January 29, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Holychuck) Martin and Joseph C. Martin. She leaves behind her twin brother, Joseph Martin and his wife, Paula of Salem, three nephews, David and Roger Martin of Salem and Raymond Martin of Newmarket, N.H. also two nieces Darlene Harrings of Cary N.C. and Christine Allen of Lexington Park, Md; also her longtime friends, Billy and Kathy McCarthy of Salem.
Despite her physical limitations, she had a feisty personality and a wonderful sense of humor. She was a huge nature lover and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard. She had four cats that she loved and adored. They gave her so much joy and companionship. Tina also loved music and enjoyed a good concert. In her younger days, she loved riding her Harley Davidson. She will be dearly missed.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a graveside service in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Cedar Grove Ave., Peabody on Thursday, July 6th at 10 a.m. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tina's memory to Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis St. Peabody, or to the charity of your choice.
