Jean L. (Gregoire) Conte, 71, of Dover, N.H., beloved wife of Robert J. Conte, peacefully passed away on April 27, 2017, at Hyder Family Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born November 11, 1945, in Malden, Mass., to the late Narcisse and Marion Gregoire and was raised in Everett, Mass. She was a 1963 graduate of Cheverus High School in Malden, where she was both class president and valedictorian. After high school she attended Boston College before starting her family. Jean raised her family in both Everett, Mass., and Salem, Mass., before moving to Dover, N.H., in 1989. Jean worked as an office manager at several medical offices before retiring in 2011. After retirement, she and her husband, Bob volunteered as "Pease Greeters" for U.S. military personnel on active deployments.

Most importantly, Jean was a loving and caring person, whose lasting legacy was the wide range of people in her life she touched.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher Gollihur and his wife, Kristine of Tyngsboro, Mass.; Andrew Gollihur and his wife, Jeannine of Northwood, N.H.; Kevin Conte of Chesterfield, Va.; and Kristina Turner and her husband, Ricky of Chesterfield, Va. In addition, she is survived by her seven grandchildren, Zachary Durand of Lowell, Mass.; Benjamin Durand and his partner, Brittany Gauthier of Pepperell, Mass.; Stella Gollihur of Tyngsboro, Mass.; Ian and Colin Gollihur of Northwood, N.H.; and Tyrone and Alesha Turner of Chesterfield, Va. She is also survived by her "adopted" son, Babe Knuuttila and his husband, Greg Christian of Los Angeles, Calif.; her brother, Neil Gregoire, Sr. and his wife, Laurie of Show Low, Ariz.; her sister, Eileen Marsan of Woburn, Mass.; and other family members and friends.
