Jean A. (Doyle) Wheeler Jean A. (Doyle) Wheeler, age 89 years, of Beverly, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Wheeler. Born in Revere, she was the dear daughter of the late John and Drusilla (Trickett) Doyle. She was raised and educated in Revere and graduated from the Fisher Business School of Boston.
Jean was employed as a senior clerk typist for the Beverly Public Welfare Department for 25 years, retiring in 1992.
Jean loved residing in Beverly, and she adored Lynch Park, especially listening to the band concerts at the park with her late husband. She was also very active and social. She attended the Sterling Center YMCA, enjoyed weekly card games with her girlfriends and was an avid bowler. Often Jean could be found sitting on her front porch watching the world go by. She truly loved her family and cherished all the time she was able to spend with them.
Surviving her are two daughters, Donna Hill and her husband, Guy of Douglas and Karen Madden and her husband, Dan of Franklin; six grandchildren, Ryan, Christopher, Drew and Courtney Hill and Evan and Lia Madden; two brothers, Francis Doyle of Amherst, Ohio and Lawrence Doyle of Saugus; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Dr. John Doyle and James Doyle.
Jean’s funeral service will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be held at the North Beverly Cemetery.
