Delray Beach, FL - James F. "Jim" Moran, 81, of Delray Beach, formerly of Beverly and Peabody, Mass., died suddenly in Seabrook, N.H., after being stricken ill while visiting family. He was born April 22, 1938 in Peabody, Mass., attended local schools and graduated with the class of 1956.

Jim was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Beverly, Mass., for over 30 years retiring in 1994. After his retirement he made his home in in Delray Beach.

He enjoyed the New England Patriots and was a life member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #1309 in Beverly, Mass.

He shared 34 years of marriage with his wife Mary A. (DeChiaro) Moran of Delray Beach; two daughters, Shari LeBlanc of Swampscott, Mass., and Deanna Pettipas of Salisbury, Mass.; one son, James Moran Jr. of Peabody, Mass.; six grandchildren, Marissa and Nicole LeBlanc, Luke and Michael Moran, Nathan and Shawn Sequeira; his sister Hope Gaffney of Danvers, Mass.; several nieces, nephews; and his beloved dog Cocoa.


Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of traditional remembrances donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005. So sorry Mary to hear of Jim’s passing, he was a wonderful man ..and was very good to my mom and dad when they came to visit ..I will never forget the little step stool he had for my dad to get into the van ...RIP Jim ❤️
