Salem - Jacqueline "Jackie" (Lessard) Simpson, age 67, died Aug. 16, 2019, at Mass General Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Marlboro to the late A. Arthur and H. Lois (Weldon) Lessard. She was a graduate of Marian High School in Framingham and Salem State College.
Jackie spent many years working in the healthcare industry as a staffing coordinator, most recently at Associated Home Care of Beverly, Mass.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandson and loved to read. She was very proud to share musical tastes with her children, finding enjoyment in everything from 70s-rock to modern day heavy metal. Jackie was incredibly gifted with word games, and even generously saw fit to let others win every once in a while.
Surviving her are two sons, Tyler Simpson and his wife Nicoleann of Salem, Parker Simpson and his wife Kaitlin Ahern of Buffalo, N.Y.; a sister Jill L. Brennan of Sunapee, N.H.; a grandson Connor Simpson. She was predeceased by her brother, Armand A. "Skip" Lessard Jr.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Fri., Aug. 23, 2019, with her funeral service immediately following at 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Jackie was the best next door neighbor! We raised our kids together, her backyard was always full of kids. She was such a kind and loving person. She loved her boys unconditionally, my thoughts and prayer go out to Tyler and Parker and to her whole family. RIP Jackie 💔
