Isabelle E.'s Story
Isabelle E. (Berry) Guilbault, 93, of Salem, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Alma (Guerrette) Berry.
A resident of Salem for most of her life, she was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1941.
Over the years, Isabelle worked as a nurse's aid for Salem Hospital and later for Danvers State Hospital and several nursing homes in the greater Salem area. Following her retirement, she worked for the Salem Council on Aging. Isabelle was an avid knitter and loved crocheting in her free time.
She is survived by a daughter, Valerie S. Cole and her husband, Robert W. Cole of Beverly; two sons, Richard L. Guilbault and his wife, Josephine of Salem and Paul Guilbault of Salem; as well as seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maureen Mossett.
