EL PASO, TEXAS - Herant Boghosian, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on January 30, 2018.
He grew up in Middleton, and was a graduate of Holten High School, class of 1956, in Danvers, Mass.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served for 22 years. He served overseas many times, including Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, two Army Commendation Medals, and a Purple Heart.
After military service, he return to school and received his master's degree in education. He taught in the El Paso School system until his retirement.
He leaves behind his wife, Shirley Boghosian; son, Leon Boghosian; his daughter, Patricia Dunaj; and her children, Kristen Watson, Gregory Boghosian, and Michelle Dunajl, all of El Paso, Texas.
He also leaves behind his sister, Doris Boghosian, of Salem, Mass.; his sister, Mary Kachigian Baker; and her children, Jane Baker, John, and Debbie Baker, and his family, of Brockton, Mass.
Herant was the son of the late Leon and Margaret Boghosian. He was predeceased by his brother, John Kachigian, who died at Holten High School, in 1949, at age 16.
Services for burial will be held on February 9, 2018, with full military honors at the Nation Cemetery, Ft. Bliss, Texas.
