Helen Panias, 89 years, formerly of Peabody, died peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2017, in Wingate at Andover Nursing Home.
She was born in Lewiston, Maine, the daughter of the late Anastasios and Sophia (Kerikades) Panias. She was raised in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1945. She has lived most of her life in Peabody. Helen worked for the Peabody Housing Authority for many years. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, James Dryer and his wife, Gina of Salem, N.H., and Anthony Kerrigan of the Philippines; and was predeceased by her son, the late Billy Dryer; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Charles and Dot Panias of Lynn, Kay Decoulos of Peabody, and Cynthia Panias of Peabody. The family would like to thank the staff at Wingate in Andover for the exceptional care given to her.
