Helen (Dzierzek)'s Story
Helen J. (Dzierzek) Welch, 92, passed away on May 9, 2017 in Rosewood Nursing Home.
Born in Danvers on April 10, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Dlugas) Dzierzek. Helen was a lifelong resident of Danvers and a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church. She graduated in 1943 from Holten High School. Helen had been employed for over 20 years as a supervisor at the Hogan Regional Center and retired in 1990. She had previously worked for Hotwatt in Danvers Square for several years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerold and Mary Jane Welch of Peabody, three grandchildren, Katie Welch, Sarah Welch and Greg Welch and his fiancée Cassie Remare. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including her very special nieces, Loraine Albeiro, Judy Dery and Terry Diorio. Helen was predeceased by all her siblings, John, William and Edward Dzierzek, Rose Bolognese, Sophie Morris and Frances Kasprzyk.
Helen’s family thanks the wonderful staff at Rosewood Nursing Home including her very special nurse, Shayna Thompson.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
