Harry C.'s Story

Harry Clinton Williams, 84, of Lynn, died Friday after a lengthy illness, on what would have been his 66th wedding anniversary. He was the husband of the late Joanna M. (Frasca) Williams.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Herbert and Louise (Snow) Williams. A lifelong Lynn resident, he was a graduate of Lynn Trade School.
Harry was the former owner of Bennie’s Pizza in Lynn. He had worked for the Lynn Housing Authority until his retirement.
He enjoyed sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots, and had played football with the Charlestown Townies semi-pro football team. He also enjoyed golfing. Harry was a little league coach, and was one of the founders of the East Lynn Pop Warner football program. He also enjoyed spending winters in Bradenton, Fla.
He is survived by five children, Joan Belliveau and her husband, Roger of Lynn, Denise Williams of Peabody, Harry C. Williams, Jr. of Londonderry, N.H., Corey Donegan of Derry, N.H., and Mark Williams and his wife, Joan of Hooksett, N.H.; nine grandchildren, Michelle Belliveau, Lisha McAndrews, Holly Stallings, Joseph, Jonathan and Katrina Williams, Kristen and Mark Williams, and Jennifer Blanchette; eight great-grandchildren, Alana, Anthony, Brandon, Jackson, Savannah, Caleb, Violet, and Gabrielle; one great-great-granddaughter, Lily; his sister, Marion Richard of Peabody; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late April Welch and brother of the late Herbert, Charles “Tarzie”, Richard Williams, Louise Dupuis, and Dottie Gardner.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Those who prefer may make donations to East Baptist Church, 300 Western Ave., Lynn, MA 01904.
