Gordon E.'s Story
Gordon E. Friburg, Jr., 45, formerly of Beverly, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the Beverly Hospital.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Gordon E. Sr. and Ann T. (DeWitt) Friburg. He graduated from Danvers High School, Class of 1993, and attended the Police Academy in Salem.
Gordon had been employed for nine years as a firefighter in New Hampshire. Prior to that he had worked for many years as a tow truck driver for Bill’s Auto in Salem.
He is survived by a daughter, Megan Friburg of Peabody; two sisters, Susan A. Friburg of Peabody and Donna Doucette of Salem; four nieces, Ashley, Samantha, Nicole, and Annabell; and great-nieces and nephews, Gabrielle, Vincent, Jenevive and Roland.
His visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Monday (today), August 21, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A memorial service will be held at the Salvation Army Community Center, 93 North Street, Salem, Wednesday, August 23, at 1 p.m. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
