BEVERLY - George W. Cravatis, 84, of Beverly, husband of the late Jane F. Davis) Cravatis, with whom he shared 55 beautiful years of marriage, passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
George was born in Peabody, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Letusky) Cravatis. He received his education in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School Class of 1953. After serving in the Army, he was employed by Britton Auto Parts in Beverly until his retirement in December 2012.
George was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be remembered as always willing to help and will be truly missed by all who knew him. He loved his family and cherished the time spent with all of his grandchildren and attending his grandchildren's activities which included field hockey, baseball, softball, hockey, soccer and basketball.
George is survived by his children, Gregory Cravatis and his wife Lori of Beverly, Kevin Cravatis and his wife, Teri of Danvers, Holly Zocco and her husband Rick of Beverly and Julie Solimeno and her husband, Carlo of Beverly; his grandchildren: Samantha and Stephen Solimeno, Cierra Cook and her husband, Joshua, Kyle, Michael, Ty Cravatis and Dylan Zocco. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane Cravatis and his grandchildren, Aaron and Amanda Cravatis.
ARRANGEMENTS: His service will be celebrated at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment in the North Beverly Cemetery.
