Frederick B.'s Story
Frederick B. Tremblay, 84, died Saturday morning, October 7, 2017, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was the loving husband of Barbara J. (Sauchuk) Tremblay, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Born in Danvers on June 19, 1933, he was the son of the late Edward and Anna Mae (Murphy) Tremblay. He was raised and educated mostly in Danvers and was a longtime Danvers resident. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Fred was employed for many years by Tilcon in Watertown. Following his retirement, he worked at Auto Sound in Middleton.
He enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, John Tremblay and his wife, Dawna of Colorado, and Dorothy Fortin of Salem; three grandsons, Daniel, Christopher and his wife, Perstephanie, and Bryan; two great-grandchildren, Kevin and Clarissa; his siblings, Leonard, Edward, and Margaret Tremblay; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Ernest Fortin.
His Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Salem.
