Frank S.'s Story
Frank Salvatore Lentine, 84, a longtime resident of Danvers, Mass., passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. He was the loving husband of Beverly (Dodge) Lentine with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Winchester, Mass., on May 6, 1933, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Antoinette (Signorelli) Lentine.
Frank was a graduate of Winchester High School and later graduated from Fitchburg Teachers College and Salem State College with a dual Master's Degree.
Mr. Lentine was employed with the Town of Wilmington, Mass., in the public school system for 33 years as an industrial arts teacher and later in the guidance department. Frank was the head coach at Wilmington High for the soccer program.
He enjoyed traveling with Beverly around the world, biking, kayaking, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Danvers.
Besides his wife Beverly, he leaves a daughter, Robyn Donovan and her husband, Jay of Germany, Mark Lentine and his wife, Tish of Danvers. He was the grandfather to Quinn, Maia, Lucas, Hanna, and Mitchell. Also leaving several nieces and nephews. His seven siblings predeceased him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visitation on Friday evening in the Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Route 114, Middleton, from 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Frank on Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish, 24 Conant St., Danvers.
