Francis "Frank"'s Story
Francis E. “Frank” Haynes Jr., 67, beloved husband of Carol A. (Sullivan) Haynes, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born and raised in Beverly, he was the son of the late Francis E. Sr. and Anna C. (Norton) Haynes. He received his education in St. Mary’s School in Beverly and graduated from St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, Class of 1967. He continued his education and earned a degree from Providence College, Class of 1971.
Mr. Haynes had been employed for 35 years as an auditor for the Department of Defense until the time of his retirement in 2005.
A longtime resident of Beverly, Frank was a member of the Board of the Beverly Recreation Department, a Beverly Girl’s Softball Coach for many years and a booster of many of the Beverly High School music and sports teams. He was also a longtime volunteer at the St. John the Evangelist Parish in Beverly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, with whom he shared forty two years of marriage, he is survived by two daughters, Colleen Coppedge and her husband, Timothy of Goochland, Va. and Maegan Picariello and her husband, Ken of Danvers; a son, Matthew Haynes of Dallas; six grandchildren, Paige, Connor, Logan, Harper, Louis and Andrew and a sister, Shirley Haynes of Beverly.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch Street, Beverly, on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m. Burial in the Wadsworth Cemetery, Danvers.
