DANVERS - Frances M. (Raimo) McKenna, 98, passed away on February 3, 2018, in Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers.
Born in Lynn, on May 29, 1919, she was the daughter of Rocco and Kathleen (Donegan) Raimo. She was raised in Swampscott, and graduated from Swampscott High School in 1937, and the Chandler School in 1939. Frances was married for 60 years to John J. McKenna, who died in 2007. She was employed at the Essex Registry of Deeds, in Salem, from 1939 to 1947. She also worked in Springfield, and New Haven, Conn., and retired from Wang Laboratories, Inc., Lowell in 1981, where she was secretary to Dr. An Wang.
She is survived by her nephew, Christopher Raimo, of Marblehead; her niece, Paulette Raimo, of Marblehead; and several cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, K. Geraldine Raimo, and John C. Raimo; and her nephew, Charles Raimo.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 8:15 a.m. from C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers, followed by a Funeral Mass, at 9 a.m., in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery, Sylvan St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Frances' name to a charity of one's choice.
